So dedicated to his own agenda that he refuses to pick any Ferdinand signings. Would rather play no strikers and Petrasso than JET, Luongo, Chery or others.

Have him for 6 months? I hope he doesn't last 6 days - regardless of today's result.

we played 10 league games this season prior to Warnock rejoining and shipped 20 goals.

we've played 8 league games since he rejoined and shipped 5 goals

Yep but we had scored 18 and have only scored 5 ,4 of which came when CR was still in charge. We also only conceded 2 in Ramsey's last four games.

For what it's worth though, I do think the selection yesteday was ok. A big surprise to see him pick Petrasso and with Hoilet making himself available for the pass, it worked well. Good early sub when we needed more goal threat.

If Austin was only fit for 30 mins and JET was injured then his options were very limited.. Far better for Charlie to come off the bench than start, only risking him if we needed to. Cherry is unfortunately very light weight so difficult to justify a starting spot for him. I would though rather see Luongo coming on than Henry.

Prior to yesterday, Leeds away record was 3-4-1, a bit different to the Leeds you saw.

You can't be serious about that 'game plan'? What are we supposed to do when we get the ball, give it back so we can carry on defending?

Barring injuries, I don't want us to take the field without a specialist striker. If Austin and Chery are absent or on the bench, then Polter or JET should be starting.

It sounds like a few players did well yesterday. That's great, but unlike you, I don't see a marked shift between 'Ramsey' and 'post-Ramsey', including in some of the indicators you mentioned. That's ok, there's a lot of season still to go and quite likely there'll be a new manager very soon. I'm still optimistic.

you clearly didn't see the game yesterday. More football played, solid at the back, crowd happy at half time, cranked it up second half and could have been 3-0 up. Shaky last 5 minutes at 1-0 as per normal. Crowd very happy at full time. I'm happy with that. Most of our attcking threat came on the ground via Hoilett and Phillips though their final ball is still not good. Maybe NW thinks JET and Polter are sh*t. Polter is just no good. JET should be a sub IMO not a starter.

Was part of the reason for the line up consideration for Fakes on Thursday?

Great result anyway, and a clean sheet.

When you have no other forwards I'd start JET or Polter just to have an option through the middle, starting with 3 wingers and a full back in the attacking positions just seemed odd to me and was similar to a lot of teams that Redknapp picked in that you knew that it would need fixing in the second half and you could call what the changes would be a good half an hour before they happend, thankfully Warnock did fix it with the changes he made and the last half an hour was very positive.

It seemed pretty obvious to me that that was Warnock's plan from the start.

Strong and stable my arse.

No, I didn't see the game. But I've got a fair idea that Leeds failed to turn up. I was following the BBC text commentary and the radio commentary of a couple of partisan Leeds buffoons who could find nothing of interest to commentate on. Here are the half-time BBC stats, posted by me on the match thread (page 4):

"BBC stats:

possession 62 38
shots 9 2
on target 1 0
corners 2 0
fouls 6 6 "

They describe a one-sided game where the team that has the most of the ball is having real trouble getting it into the net. That's why we needed a proper striker. Even you concede that JH and MP weren't up to it.

As for Polter and JET, maybe that is or isn't Warnock's opinion (he hasn't told us, and a lot of people are wondering), but do you think either of them would be no better in front of goal than what we had? I don't.

It probably was the plan from the start, I just thought it was a bit of a risk and could easily have played an actual forward and made the same changes
