This.

Never, ever take pleasure from the demise of ANY other football club (unless it's Chelsea or Palace) as one day, it will be us again and with the curse, it will be the end of QPR, as opposed to a Portsmouth / Luton style collapse...

Can we go out yet?

Yeah you just know it.
Mind you I feel if one goes it will be a domino as people will lose confidence, similar to the economy thing really

How is that we are been threatened with fines and this is happening at Bolton. I am not a big fan of fining or punishing clubs that get in trouble. I would rather see clubs that do well get reward. Punish clubs only end up in them spiraling. Which only punishes the fans

Watched them at home to Brentford last night. They looked pretty motivated as they dug in and came back for a point after going behind in the first half.

I did notice the large number of empty seats and wonder if the new stadium was the start of their financial woes?

I wouldn't have thought so. The initial cost seemed to be about £25-30m. I'd guess it was the usual inflated wages paid when they were in the Premier League. Their parachute payments ended after last season so I expect this is a contributing factor.

bolton were a steady top 10 prem club, had a euro campaign, were hard to beat , it must be wages where the fingers points first and then the chairman.
you can't say bolton bought success or lashed out but still up end £200m or so in debt?

£172M says in the paper today, but still a staggering amount

It seems that teams like us and Bolton are financially doomed if we go up.

Never knowingly right.

The Premiership is an expensive neighbourhood.

In his book Simon Jordan said that the promotion money was gone as soon as they were promoted.

Most Prem clubs just p1ss money away to stay in the league
players are well overpaid its a disgrace especially when you see bang average players like liam ridgewell wiping his backside with a wad of £50's or Phil Bardsley doing the same in a casino , clubs are making average players millionaires and it has to stop,
if its not them its the agents, the sports scientists, the pro zone people, the huge backroom staff everyone needs these days, the hangers on employed to make sure carlos kickaball is settled in the area , Hotels, planes, etc etc
it all adds up and for what to finish above the relegation places , its all bollox

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

More proof positive that for smaller clubs the Premier League is the route to debt rather than to riches.
