Reports say he is joining next week. Full back. Only 29. Another kid. He played for Watford a few times. How exciting.

Never knowingly right.

come on that is a ridiculous thing to say, I know Ferdinand is the new scapegoat but the man signed plenty last summer from various countries and leagues. Absolute bollocks to suggest he's only signing players from Watford

No. Wish I did though so I'd have something decent to post on the "most famous" thread.

Can't see why age has much to do with anything really. Ability and desire, not age. Obviously nice when they're younger, but hardly the be all and end all. He could be with us for 10 years yet...

a 39 year old defender bleeding the coffers dry, whilst warming his spotty hairy bottom on the substitutes bench. legs gone 25 years ago, as has motivation, but not the will to cash in his weekly pay check.
what could possibly go wrong?

I dont know if he's any good but at 29 he should be around his peak could be good for 3 years , but you have to ask was this Les just pulling the wool over Tony's eye's with the great adventure of buying young players of potential from the lower leagues, yep easy to say isn't it Lez

Oh yes very well put , but what he never told poor old Tony was every other club in the country is looking for these young players from the lower league's and developing them , out these brought in only one has been used as a regular by the last three managers /coaches

Never heard of the geezer, but if i can be quite frank, id rather have Robert Wyatt at right back than Duncan Norvelle Perch.

Like 99% of the Italian league, Ive never heard of him. But the report is prety damming. To the point where I was thinking he must have sh@gged the reporters missus.

It does rather come across that way.

And he's still blatantly better than fecking Perch!

The report is awful but his career appearances etc look a bit better and he did play nine times for Watford last season.

If this is true then it would suggest that Perch will be missing for quite a while and that JFH don't have a lot of faith in Furlong.

With a ten point gap to the play off places, surely it is time to say this season is now about building a younger more energetic side for next year.
