Be shocked if we're unable to get out of that group. Slovakia, Russia and Wales! And bearing in mind that the best 3rd places in 4 of the 6 groups will qualify means it would be World Cup 2014 esque if we didn't qualify. I've actually voted for Semi Final based on nothing other than the law of averages which state that our tournament luck has to change some time soon and I'm going for soon.

Four times actually if you count making it to the semi-finals of the 1968 European championships when it was a four team week long finals tournament. Mind you the qualification for that tournament wasn't overly tricky being the 1967 and 1968 Home Internationals tournaments. We did beat Spain in the quarters though.

I'm not having that we'll go from a side that despatched rank average sides with relative ease in qualifying to a side that will get knocked out in the group stages by rank average sides. From then on its a lottery and I hope we've practised them penalties. |  |

I did the predictor thing and have us losing to Italy in the QF's. TBH though, you can never tell, they'll be a dark horse come from nowehere and a few major teams that do absolutely nothing - hard to tell in tournament football.
First things first we need to get out our group. Russia have looked a lot better since Capello went, Wales will be bang up for it and if they defend well, have Bale to nick games and Slovakia have gone right under the radar looking great.
I think if we finish top we'll make QF, maybe even SF, if we don't - out in 2nd round. |  |

Um, yes it bloody did, one of the most beautiful trophies in the world. Though I might claim we didn't exceed expectations then cos we were bloody brilliant all season.
