Thing is reporters have basically offered him a fake job for 450k which breaks no rules, possibly it goes against his contract with the FA which is where he will be in trouble but if not then he's done nothing wrong. He even says he'll need to clear it with the FA before e accepts anything

They then try and trap him talking about bungs to push transfers through which he quickly tells them can't be done and then on 3rd part ownership basically says yeah you can do it but they have rules and this is what you need to do to push it through.

If he's gone looking for the work then yeah he's a prat but much like the fake sheikh offering Sven the Chelsea job when his England contract was up I think the journalists involved have created this shit storm to sell papers rather than expose anything as nothing has really been exposed here.

Agree.

Doesn't mean they won't sack him, but they will be at risk of being sued for unfair dismissal if he hasn't explicitly breached his contract.

From what has been done and said, I'm not sure he's done anything wrong or different to most other managers and politicians who use their position to get speaking engagements and advisory roles to private firms.

And he agrees to do nothing...it's all "I'll need to clear it with the powers that be".

(1) Sam Allardyce is a horrible tw at who was so far up Alex Ferguson's ar se that the Fire brigade had to cut him out.

(2) He should have been sacked when he claimed it wasn't any of his business where Rooney decided to play for England v Slovakia. Yeah, you're on £3m pa to lay the cones out and make sure everyone's on the bus after games, you fat cu nt.

(3) A six year old giving it "Woy" is cause for embarrassment, a sixty year old bloke? Deary me.

(4) He's not actually very good and he's a cu nt.

Sack him.

Haha I couldn't have put it better.

Another thing is that he left it to Mourinho to drop Rooney - he'd never have done it first. Hopefully he'll be gone by the morning.

If someone approached me masquerading as a printer (basically fake/non existent) on the quiet and offered me money to put all our print work through them and then they told my company about this I wouldn't be sacked because it was fake even though I was both morally/ethically wrong and in breach of my contact?

I think I'd be out so fast my feet wouldn't touch the ground.

Problem is, at this kind of level they do become almost untouchable.

The BBC are still waiting for Sam to issue his writ for libel (or was it slander) following the Panorama programme. Strange that none of those named carried out their threat to sue!

Perhaps I'm wrong, but I can't remember any investigation by the FA into the allegations.

But that isn't a remotely accurate analogy,

This was "we want to pay you X to do some public speaking for us and socialise with our clients". That happens all the time, with many senior businessmen, professionals and politicians....and it's all to do with their status and/or role, just like this was.

That he got into alluding to being able to help them get around the 3rd party ownership stuff, is worse...but he doesn't actually do it.

It's completely different to being bribed to give work to a certain supplier, which is your analogy.

The Telegraph took 27 days to get out all of the MPs expenses stuff, so you could expect a few days of this at least - until Sunday anyway.

The England DNA was launched in 2014 - surely this contravenes the 'integrity' objective?

9/10, a very good effort effortlessly covering the majority of his characteristics, especially with the use of the words "horrible", "fat" "cu nt" and "tw at".

The readers, though, might also like to have their attention to the fact that he's "Northern", "flash" and "gobby".

Other than that a great effort.

If he has gone/walked then he's gone for a reason, nobody walks away from £3 million a year unless they happened to be fcked.

If he's "resigned", it'll be a compromise agreement where he gets paid off in exchange for not taking them to court for unfair dismissal (because the employer hasn't followed all HR legislation). It happens a lot at the top level of business.

So the England manager has been forced out after one game after the lamest "sting" ever. What a load of bollocks.

Redknapp, Southgate or Bruce mmmmm can't wait.
