That new stadium you paid for 17:39 - Oct 2 with 19375 views | Boston | ....over in Stratford. Hurry up and pay for more policing will ya. Again disturbances between 'new' and old fans inside the ground and a good old school brawl with Boro outside.

That new stadium you paid for on 13:08 - Oct 4 by FredManRave | Agree with this, especially the "hardcore" West Ham fan bit. This must be a horribale experience for them and I doubt very much that many of them wanted to leave Upton Park. And it's been made all the worse by the way the new ground has been managed by those lovely directors and owners of the club. There are several ways, especially with seating and grouping of fans from old new, that they could have placated the fans but they just haven't bothered. Can you imagine how drastically for the worse their match day experience has changed?! Prematch, stadium and then post match. Almost unrecognisable. Imagine hot that must be for the thousands of genuine fans that had been going for years and all the history that's been left behind. Doesn't excuse the infighting obviously but you have to understand their frsutration. It's only a matter of time before it happens to us but let's just hope that more thought, consideration and planning goes in to our move away from Shepherds Bush! |
The difference with our potential move is that very few of our fans actually stand during the games. At Upton Park it was 2 whole ends that stood during games and now those standing fans are spread amongst other fans with kids that want to sit and watch the game. Those 5,000+ fans who enjoyed standing together with others are difficult to accommodate in an all seater stadium, and the owners can't condone standing if they want to get the maximum capacity. We have about 200-500 fans that stand during the games in P,Q and R blocks.

Bung all the people who ticked in one area. I know standing is 'against the rules' but as so many clearly did at Upton Park then maybe common sense should prevail and allow it with correct match day management and stewarding. The owners probably thought they could control their fans. Clearly they were wrong. [Post edited 4 Oct 2016 14:28]

I don't think they could have put such a question about standing.Maybe if they'd asked if you wanted to be in a "singing" section,it might have been organised better. If they want the full capacity they will have sit down during games. Most of the people standing probably couldn't give a toss about selling the extra seats to fans who want to sit and soak up the atmosphere.

Spot on , not so much for the true fans but certainly for Brady. Wouldn't know a good old pie and mash if it hit her in the boat race.

That new stadium you paid for on 19:15 - Oct 26 with 2352 views | easthertsr | The Upton Park send off with the taxis was seriously sh*t, so they deserve all that is happening this season. Karen Brady 's links with the Tory party and the tax payers hand outs to the pornographers is a a really shameful episode in the post Olympic legacy.

It will have CCTV surely. They'll be able to identify those involved. Why is there so much trouble at this ground though?
