Blue Monday, the monday in the New Year when the realisation of what has just happened starts to sink in.
and it did .....
so two daughters both had their phones stolen yesterday.
not necessarily a conspiracy, as they were different circumstances, but same result regardless; cost.
one had the phone removed some time while traveling on two buses. that realisation that the rucksack has been opened by someone's else's hands. phone stolen. luckily, her purse was wrapped under her scarf, plus they probably didn't have enough time to have a full rummage.
second robbery was face-to-face, when she came out of school. older girls from another school, out of uniform, took phones from her and two of her friends. they were cornered, threats and words were said, and phones were taken, but i fully expect nobody to care enough to do anything about it. part of what happens every day in today's modern caring, sharing society.
and i watched deadpool. but that now seems irrelevant how strange it actually was.

Brazilian Jujitsu plus boxing. Can't beat boxing IMHO as a self defence and an all round fighting art. Can't say that my years of amateur boxing has done much for the shape of my nose though! |  | | |
