It does look like hes going through the Post England job blues much like Redknapp with QPR. Shat on and now taken a job on the rebound when the heart isn't truly in it.

Ive noticed the old "they" and "Crystal Palace" instead of "we" being used in his pressers too.

I thought Big Sam was a bad fit for Palace as soon as they appointed him but they might just be fortunate enough to have 3 teams worse than them.

Think you're probably close to the mark there.

Desperate to get back into the game ASAP and so took the first offer put to him.

Palace was provably the best he could do though.

Hull are gone and have nothing to spend, Sunderland likewise and Swansea are not setup for ten 6'4 shithouses to be brought in to kick everything in sight.

I reckon Palarse are in free fall, in deep shit - and if Hull and Swansea sort themselves out, Palarse are contenders for the Naaarch position of mid table in the Championship next year.

They could be in the freezer in as little as 3 week time.

Hopefully they will be the first English club to go into administration for the third time. Won't escape a points deduction if that happens. Must be paying that solid lump Benteke a few quid each week.

Don't mind them myself. Terrible place to get to and watch football but they've been well supported through thick and thin and brought lots of local boys through.

Brian, you've got it completely wrong. All those clubs (and Logan's Run) are copying Palace.

I never used to Mind Palace in the days of Hilaire, Murphy, Cannon and walsh . Only ever been to their ground once when we played them in the Cup And Hatley Scored.

Having a drink near the ground and walking about i felt like i was in that bloody sunday drama documentary with james nesbitt or clockwork orange . Rough as fck early 70's concrete shithouse with barely suppressed violence on every street corner.

So - I have quite a few Palace fans....all not happy with the appointment of Sam.

To be honest - with Pardew they were punching above their weight....but hanging in there.
Cannot understand why they got rid ?

I dislike Sam with a passion.

Not many people in life that I would actually like to smack in the face....but he would be top of my list.

Punching above their weight , mmmmm not sure of that
they spent 30 million on Benteke, 12 million on Townsend , 10 million on Tomkins that's over 50 million spent right away , then add in Remys wages , its not exactly a shoestring budget like Burnley
Pardew was doing his usual of getting enough points by February to be safe then just giving up on the league , if you look at 2016 alone they have been dreadful
BFS will keep them up with 3 or 4 games to go , he is a good manager

Hopefully they will be the first English club to go into administration for the third time. Won't escape a points deduction if that happens. Must be paying that solid lump Benteke a few quid each week.

Aside from the fact that I loathe the red n'blue poo because my brother is a Season Ticket Holder and has been for 30 odd years, this is the fact that boils my piss more than any. They suffered NOTHING by the two bouts of Administration they have had. Even when they lost 10 points, they survived. Apparently they are the only team to be allowed to exit Administration despite the fact that debts to other football clubs were not settled in full (they owed for Lombardo I believe). So, we get ABC and all the shite that gave us, they get nothing.

Basically, they fall into a bucket of manure and come out smelling of roses and we fall into a bucket of tits and come out sucking our thumb.

I read that they were in for Evra this window. Christ, how much would I love it if he turned out to be their Bosingwa?

They have been rubbish for a season and a half now. It'd be just like them to get out of this and become settled just as the money comes in though. I hope they go our way, but with poorer owners, fall into Administration. Properly this time.

Can we go out yet?

So - hope you are wrong, as like I say, I really dislike Sam.
Hope he relegates them - Hasn't made any impact yet....Tomkins/Townsend/Benteke good signings in my opinion.4 defeats on the trot....sounds like us..

Maybe they were expensive - but sure Sam will wave the same by end of this window.
I think teams below and around palace have all spent the same...but I haven't looked so I'm probably wrong.

Outside the top clubs...always hard to stay in premiership...look how much money we wasted.

Bet you 1 x Mars bar Sam takes them down
