For something a little off the radar, try Glitch. It's an Australian thing, only six episodes. Brilliant. First episode is a little slow maybe but stick with it. Really worth a look. |  |

I have just recently been converted to Netflix by my gf.
We are watching "The OA". It's weird. It's got better from the first episode, which I really wasn't sure about, to the extent I'm now keen to see where it goes and can say I'm intrigued. Will save judgement on whether it's "really good" or "total nonsense" until nearer the end.
Always interested in other Netflix recommendation. Several people have recommended Black Mirror and House of Cards to us.
Luther is ace. Loved it. One of the best things the Beeb did for a while.
Along that line, "Taboo" on BBC, atm, is great. Tom Hardy, Ridley Scott as executive director, stellar support cast....it's really good. It's the sort of thing you expect Sky Atlantic to snap up here (one of the main channels in the US made it), but fair play to the Beeb. |  | | |

We've really got into the whole binge watching thing on Netflix over the last couple of years. Some highlights:
Friday Night Lights - this kicked it all off for us. Different but brilliant
Breaking Bad - superb and the series from which Better Call Saul is a spin off
Better Call Saul - see above
House of Cards - we enjoyed this but maybe not as much as some. Well worth watching
Homeland - another in the superb category
Orphan Black - just finished getting up to date on this. Excellent. Started as a 'we'll give it a go' type of thing and quickly got hooked
Not Netflix but well worth digging out:
Scandal - another of the ones we got into early doors and still love
Lucifer - new on Amazon Prime (in the middle of Season 2). Love it

They've got a lot of Brooklyn Nine Nine and all of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air which are good light hearted comedy if you've only got about 20 minutes to spare
A series of Unfortunate Events just came out and is supposed to be good but i've been too busy watching Star Trek TNG in its entirety. With the help of an episode guide of course so I don't have to watch the crap ones where Wesley Crusher fights off a species of sentinent bookmarks using only the power of love [Post edited 31 Jan 2017 11:03]

Really interesting little docu series about an American college in the arsehole of nowhere that takes on all the rejects and uncontrollable students from other schools that also have great potential as american football players and have been hugely successful but hated because of how they play.
I loved it, like a cross between Coach Carter and The Blind Side. | |
