Germany England TV camera positions 21:07 - Mar 22 with 1874 viewsGloryHunter

I've never seen this before. I'm watching on ITV in the dining room, and Frau GloryHunter is watching on German satellite channel in the lounge. On ITV England are playing right-to-left (second half), whilst on on German TV England are playing left-to-right. Their main cameras are on opposite sides of the ground. I've never seen this before. I thought all the broadcasters shared the camera feeds. When I go next door to refill Frau GH's glass I'm left utterly confused. Is this something to do with Brexit?

With the hour time difference, German TV is obviously one hour behind England so they are still showing the first half.

Either that or do you have a large mirror somewhere near one of your TV sets?

Never use one or two words when a couple of thousand will easily do

It's whats called a reverse feed and is usually to do with sponsorship. Certain grounds have two main camera gantries on opposite sides of the ground. So while I haven't seen the German sat feed I'm going to make a fairly sound assumption that all the digital hoardings are German? While all the ITV ones are English. I could of course just be making a rather large tit of myself!

We actually do this at Wembley when there's demand for it.

So in the one room it looked like Joachim Low was picking his arse while in the other room it looked like he was scratching his nuts. You can guarantee he smelt his "work" in both rooms though.

The elephant in the adjoining rooms is....

Why do you and the good-lady-wife watch the same match in different chambers?

I'm guessing because his wife's German. Who ever like's having to listen to the oppositions commentary when you are watching or listening to your team?

If that's not it then a little odd!

It's that, but also it stops arguments about fouls, ref decisions etc. Can't watch England Germany games in the same room. We also hang out the two flags from different windows during tournaments.

Great, I'll look forward to another 200 season ticket holders being turfed out so we put a camera gantry in for the two times we play Man Utd and Chelsea in our next brief foray up to that cesspool.
