Another unwanted record up for grabs on saturday 14:08 - Apr 24 with 1516 viewsNov77

This season we've already bagged the biggest home defeat in our history. We've also become the joint worst FA cup team in the country.
But lose on Saturday and apparently it's the most home defeats in a season. We've already equaled the 68/9 teams record of ten home defeats, lose to Forest and it'll be 11 (3 were under JFH) defeats at home in the league in one season.

22 points gained away from home may be the thing that keeps us up!

Tbf, the First Divvy in 68-69 had 22 teams, so only 21 home games.

True, but playing in the top flight against better opposition you'd expect to lose more. Same was true in 78-9, only lost eight.

We've always been reasonable at home, not sure why this season it's been so much easier for teams to come here and win.

And having been to all those matches (and those of the season before) we were to all intents a 3rd division team playing in the 1st division. We were brilliant in winning the 3rd division. We continued on a crest of a wave in the 2nd, gaining promotion again. Then reality hit.

But throughout that dire dire season we were a team. The manager was both accomplished and successful . The supporters didn't turn on the team, despite the porcity of wins - or indeed points. So very different to the recent past.

As long as IH is in charge I fear more unwanted records will be achieved.

You'd probably thought there was no way we'd lose this many times at home immediately after the Leeds game, it's a strange one. Even in 2000/01 which has got to be one of the worst seasons in living memory we only lost eight. Also in 97/98 and 98/99 which both almost ended in relegation we only lost six and seven respectively.

Small crumb of comfort but didn't Plymouth grab the most FA Cup third round exits record outright again when they lost their third round replay against Liverpool in January?

Come on. We can achieve this record!

Never knowingly right.

Yeah, that season we were raped, robbed and then sent a bill for their dry-cleaning.

But the continued support for the team came partly out of a naivety, there were no high expectations to be disappointed; that and the occasional flash of spirit (remember that Leeds game on a Friday night?).

But you're right, we were plainly out of our league.
