Yet another capitulation at the Taxpayers Stadium. F#cking hilarious. Pity they decided to try for once against Spuds. Hate em.

It's being so happy that keeps me going.

Lost ten home games out of twenty four. Shipped 4 against Watford, City and Liverpool. Then there 5 against Arsenal and City (again). Pity they stayed up.

How did you guess?

Already seen a game there in the europa league but wouldn't mind adding it to the list of away grounds seeing our lot.

The defending in that game yesterday was incredible. I wouldn't pick James Collins for Grimsby Town and yet they love him so much there they got rid of Tomkins. Watching him for that Coutinho goal yesterday was absolutely hilarious.

Goes to show really bar the top 7 what a p1ss poor league it is , Stoke have won one game in about 10 and West Ham have been dire all year yet both could finish in the top 10 , West Ham, Watford, Palace , Swansea, Burnley got dead lucky this year that there were pathetic teams like Sunderland, Boro & Hull otherwise they would have been in real trouble

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Agree. We were having this chat here yesterday. They've absolutely ruined the Europa League to the point where nobody wants to be in it. Only a few teams can qualify for the Champions League so for the rest it's about getting to 40 and getting off on their holidays. They duck out of both cups as early as possible in case they lose six players to broken legs in a fourth round tie at Rochdale and that's the season.

THis means, particularly in a season like this when the bottom three are so dreadful, that the league becomes absolutely chock full of teams that got the bare minimum and then fcked off on holiday. I keep saying to my Watford mate I can't remember them winning a game and yet they're safe. Leicester, Stoke, Bournemouth. Everton have clocked off. Burnley have won one away match all season.

Football in this country really isn't very good any more at the top level. Think Sky have got six Premier League games on this week and the only thing riding on any of it is who finishes fourth. We were looking at it yesterday and saying there's not a single one we're bothered about watching, and we're pretty addicted.

Carlisle v Exeter last night, meanwhile, was absolutely brilliant.

Yep- a really telling stat is the points gap between Everton and West Brom. Says it all, and the shape of things to come...

The Blackpool - Luton match wasn't too bad either!

It's a pity they were both watchable as that meant I hopped between the two games rather than enjoy just the one.

Mind you, if the tv schedules hadn't have been so awful I wouldn't have seen any of them!

Sky must be very happy that Arsenal have started winning matches again as that nows gives them two amtches to show next Sunday.

Apart from C.Palace v Hull, which was all about relegation. And I held a vested interest as we'd more likely be playing one of them next season after 90 mins.

And BOTH Div 2 Playoff games were pretty good value to watch.

I mean this week coming.
Chelsea v Watford - 4-0 home win, nothing on it for either team
ARsenal v Sunderland - that dramatic quest for fourth heats up against the worst team in the league.
Man City v West Brom - watch Tony Pulis' attempt to extract a 0-0 draw end in the first 8 minutes.
Southampton v Man Utd Reserves
Leicester v Spurs - nothing on it for either team, plenty of excitement there for your Thursday night.

Just to reiterate the point 45 points gets you 8th place in the premier league, albeit with two games to go but those two games probably won't trouble the points tally too much.

I've got the Power.

So Southampton finished in 8th place with 46 points having lost 16 of their 38 games.
And they get 24.7million quid for the privilege! Not forgetting getting to a Cup Final.

And yet many of their fans want the manager out.

Not sure what's worse with football these days, the obscene amount of money sploshing around thanks to SKY or the fans that SKY have created?!

I've got the Power.

Coming back to the original West Ham, 'teenage kicks' theme of the thread - West Ham "the academy of football" have had a pretty dire season with a team chock full of dodgy, expensive signings, mostly French and African. Meanwhile the likes of Reece Oxford have seen no football at all. David Gold told his Twitter followers teenagers need to get their experience on loan in Champ and League One, presumably while James Collins and Jose Fonte pick up millions of quid for falling over their own feet.

Haven't Man Utd been resting players in the Premiership to try & win the Europa League / qualify for the Champions League?

Only once it became clear they weren't good enough to make the top four in the Premier League and it would just be easier to beat Celta Vigo twice and Ajax once. They've spent the whole time whinging about how many games it means they have to play as well.
