We tried to bring Armstrong in on loan last summer. Newcastle wouldn't go for it because they saw us as rivals for promotion.

Agreed Baz the likes of solanke who looks a beast of a player btw needs to get out of Chelsea and start playing elsewhere he looks no different to the Belgium player who Chelsea signed for 30 million problem is he is English and won't get a game the likes of solanke would be better going to Southampton , Everton or Bournemouth , look at Loftus -cheek and chalobah they have wasted nearly 4 years of their career just collecting a pay check they should and could be in the full England team by now
also Very impressed with the boy Calvert-Lewin from Everton he scored a blinding diving header and nearly copied RVP's header against Spain later on in the game , this is a decent young England team he didn't have izzy brown or Patrick Roberts either
As per usual with England we couldn't keep the ball but we looked dangerous when we broke and we looked very physical at the back
BTW if we could forge a loan deal for anyone then the young lad sancho at city would be a brilliant coup he was the player of the tournament for the under 17's he could easily make the step up to championship | |
