I agree. He never looked like he was busting a gut for us. I remember one match where he actually went for a header and being amazed he could actually get off the ground, how feeble he'd been in previous games. Don't wish him ill but certainly not one I'd be clapping on their return. |  | | |

I'm not having scapegoating either. It was Eze copping all the grief for being lazy, nobody said a fcking thing about Hemed phoning in non performances until the end of April.

Signed to play with Wells, done alright, promptly changed our minds and only gave him bits as expensive bench option in a different system he wasn't particularly suited to. Got injured (I see some here are apparently of the Benny the Ball remedial school of tHoUghT where serious injury is just a failure of character?), was still clearly unfit when brought back into a disintegrated side in freefall. When eventually fit was okay, as you'd expect from his career. That double against Swansea was a bit awkward round here eh?

Hemed did phone it in a couple of times while unfit for sure and deserved a pop for it for sure, but it was still endlessly memed out of all proportion when an anti-loan narrative was all the rage. Brighton fans only have good things to say about him, we've since re-signed all the other old pros we recruited at the time, Steve Gallen seems to think he's alright too, so forgive me if I don't buy that actually he was the outlier Wrong Sort Bad Apple all along. | | | |

That double against Swansea was only 'awkward' as that's what he was clearly capable of when he could be arsed, but was not fit or bothered enough to maintain that level of performance.
I watched almost every game he played so my opinion isn't part of some narrative, it's based on what I saw and despite a half-decent goal record, his performances across 90mins were not good enough. | |
