How do you become a millionaire?

Start off as a billionaire and then buy QPR.

That was the deal where Tony Blair assisted Mittal for a modest donation of £125,000 to Labour Party funds:

'TONY BLAIR intervened to help an Indian billionaire buy a giant Romanian steel company a month after the tycoon donated £125,000 to the Labour Party, The Telegraph can reveal.

In an extraordinary letter, Mr Blair told Romania's prime minister that selling his biggest state-owned enterprise to Lakshmi Mittal, one of the world's richest men, would enhance the country's chances of joining the European Union.'

Well remembered. Amazing that that piece also mentions the Bernie Ecclestone Labour donation affair.

No story that involves Keith Vaz can be a good thing. The man will literally do anything. I once got him to comment a crisis among UK clown families for a ridiculous student magazine article. Like a proper five line quote. Other politicians literally laughed down the phone when I called them.

ArcelorMittal slumps to $8bn loss
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-35500080

'ArcelorMittal joins a growing list of producers hit by the turmoil in global steel markets, where a supply glut and industry overcapacity have compounded faltering demand. Tata Steel on Thursday fell to a quarterly loss after troubles deepened at its European arm, while Posco of South Korea recorded its first loss last year.'

"would enhance the country's chances of joining the European Union"

What a lovely bullshit line!

Never mind the 125k to the Labour Party, how much went as 'negotiators fees' to Blair, Romanian PM, etc?
