I use Norton Anti-virus ["anti-everything," I forget exactly what it's called] on my p.c. It conflicts with my iMac programs.
I've used Norton for a very long time and am completely sold on it. There's an annual subscription fee, which I'm glad to pay for the protection.
You will need to update the protection from time to time, but the program notifies when your protection is out of date. I do it on a regular basis anyway. |  |

I know the square root of f**k all about any of this and have always used McAfee which is a nightmare for speed and conflict, but I'm scared to let go of it like nurse and worse. Are the free ones secure enough if you use internet payments/banking etc? |  |

I used the free ones in work for a few years with no bother. Haven't had my bank account hacked many times either | |
