This was brilliant . Like a short film following a fan ( Michael Nyman) going to QPR v Spuds early 90s with a classical music backing. It kept flashbacking to the glory days of the 70s mainly focusing on our Stan. Its gone, dissapeared, no You Tube nothing( I know it used to be on Youtube cos I posted it on another forum a while back). Its even listed unavailable on a classic music site. Whats going on ,surely Mike hasnt gone over to the dark scummy side ?
This piece was originally a film for Channel 4 called "Concerto for Stanley Bowles" Michael, and others have been trying for years to get the whole thing reissued, but there are copyright problems with the league and some of the clubs where the film was shot. Which is why it keeps getting taken down from YouTube. Mike now lives mostly in Mexico, but we exchange Rangers related stuff nearly every day. The "Trombone Concerto" has a "Come on you R's"section.

Actually it was called 'The Final Score: A Concerto For Football' by Michael Nyman and Matthew Whiteman. It was broadcast on Channel 4 on Tuesday 8th December at 9.30pm. It was produced by TV21 Productions of Wardour St, Soho. Jonathan Ross' brother Miles was involved in the making of the programme. They put an ad in either the programme or AKUTRs and I answered it along with 3 other fans. We all helped in providing facts, figures etc and plenty of memorabilia. I provided the match programmes that were shown in the end credits. Our names were put in the credits of the original programme but Cannel 4 edited them out when it was broadcast. Miles gave us all the unedited versions with our names shown. He also said he wasn't allowed to pay us due to Equity rules but provided us with about 4 hours of BBC/ITV footage including the Eufa cup games in 1976 which is more valuable to me than money. They also gave me areally nice postcard advertising the programme with all the details on tha back while on the front is that famous photo of Stan jigging past Malcolm MacDonald and laughing in his face.
BTW theres an article in todays AKUTRs all about the programme although I havnt got around to reading it yet.

Michael tells me that his original title was "Concerto for Stanley Bowles" it was C4 that made the change. The copyright problems are because Leeds United refuse the necessary permission to show the bits with them in. The C.D with it on is called "After Extra Time" the cover has a very early picture of Rangers in the blue and blue shirts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/After_Extra_Time_%28album%29 Live performance by the Michael Nyman Band
