Quick Monday Morning Game For You All... 10:31 - Oct 27 with 655 viewsAntti_Heinola

So, here's what you have to do. You must name three managers who you would take instead of Redknapp. But not just any three - the last three you would take *before* you draw the line and say you'd rather stick with Harry. So this game is all about how much you like the old geezer. For example, Chemical Taxi's three might be something like: Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti (I'm not sure how far his Chelsea hating goes). While the Disco Man will probably go for people along the lines of Paul Hart.

Rules are simple: must be real people involved in the game now, no dead people and no facetious answers like 'Jon Doeman' or 'a slug I found in the garden'. Proper answers please. It's all about how low you can go. And be honest: I don't want anyone suggesting they'd genuinely take Bryan Robson over Redknapp. He's not that bad.

Then, I want a list of three managers you definitely *wouldn't* take ahead of Redknapp. Same rules etc. So, for me:

Last 3 managers I'd take before Redknapp...

1. Tony Mowbray
2. Paolo di Canio
3. Steve Kean

3 managers to which my reaction would be: I'll stick with Redknapp, thanks.

1. Aidy Boothroyd.
2. Alex McLeish.
3. Tim Sherwood.

Good luck. The gauntlet has been laid down on the electronic wall.

Bare bones.

Seems a bit of a strange thread to start on a matchday , but since no one seems to be playing and you invited me personally I will have a go before I leave for LR .

Regardless of tonight result I would take over Redknapp

Paul Clement ...ticks most boxes with the exception of transfer experience

If we lose badly tonight

Hoddle ..easy choice

Holloway...emotional choice

and reluctantly .... Pulis pragmatic choice.

I would not take

Any other realistic choice... ie disregarding the big name managers some of which you mentioned.

Important to say that i will get behind anyone who gets the job with one exception

Hughes

Enjoy the game tonight .....

Absolutely brilliant idea for a thread.

Last ditch:

Clint Hill (not ready but he's not Harry)
Tony Pulis (would want to spend his way out like Harry but he's not Harry)
Dougie Freedman (he's sh*t but he's not Harry)

No way:

Roy Keane (bully)
Paolo DiCanio (egotistical racist)
Felix Magath (FuLOLm reject)

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH MARTI THE REDEEMER WHO STRENGTHENS ME.

Would take:
Pardew - he's unearthed some decent players and had all the best ones sold and got none of the money
Di Canio - would be interesting to say the least
Sherwood - better than Harry if he manages to stay awake more than 3 hours a day

Wouldn't take:
Hughes
Mullery
Houston

I'm a bit late on entering this but my last three:-

George Borg, Paul Hart & the man who was at Leeds at the start of the season.

Who would be under my line? I can't think of anyone as Margaret is no longer with us. Perhaps George Bush may be questioned though.
