When we played down at the Liberty and pressed and chased at the start of the second half, they didn't look so great. They're all right, but were we actually to play to a plan and try to neutralise them we could do all right............ it's just that I have no confidence that we will play to a plan like that........... or to any convincing plan at all.

We need to play 4231with Barton and henry given license to just harry and shift the ball quickly. Vargas in the hole to link and make it 4222 in attack and the front 4 all need to press from the front to win possession in advantageous positions to get in behind their defence - perhaps even adopting Hughes' successful approach of ceding possession to press in a tight formation in our own half to counter quickly.

Of course, actually well play 442 and lump it at bobby all afternoon and be totally swamped in midfield
