The new laws will only mean more arguments in pubs about players on or off side, interfering or not interfering.
New interpretation of the offside law on 17:08 - Aug 3 with 1343 views | Clive_Anderson | I thought if for example you unsighted the keeper when in an offside position then it was already counted as offside even if you didn't touch the ball? How is this different?

New interpretation of the offside law on 18:15 - Aug 3 with 1235 views | terryb | I doubt that the laws have been changed at all. Just the interpretation given to them by the referee's managers. Pinner will be able to tell us if this is so. You have never had to touch the ball before offside was given. This was just what the commentators/analysts would have had you believe!

New interpretation of the offside law on 18:27 - Aug 3 with 1207 views | QPR_John | But it seemed from last season if a player did not touch the ball he was deemed not to interfering with play and thus not given offside . I hope this new interpretation changes that.

I didn't say the law had changed, on the sky sports Ap there lots of scenarios from last season including a couple of Austins where a referee now says whether the goal would stand this season or not.

New interpretation of the offside law on 18:36 - Aug 3 with 1183 views | terryb | That was down to how Webb & the other idiot in charge of the referee's wanted them to act. Anyone who heard Webb defend every decision made in the home game against City last season, will know he has no idea of how to use common sense in a match!
