Your favourite cold confection? on 15:40 - May 24 with 5821 views | bob566 | i have to say I'm not a huge fan these days. I was always an icepop lad rather than an icecream lad. Back then you had a choc ice and a golly bar and maybe the odd brunch. Everything else were icepops. Now it's gone full circle. Naff all icepops left and nearly everything is icecream. Sure half the freezers in the shops are dedicated to different types of magnums.

Your favourite cold confection? on 16:50 - May 24 with 5722 views | scot1963 | tutti frutti ice cream but you can't find it any more, or I haven't. Tesco also used to do a strawberry ice cream with bits of meringue (or something) in it and it was the best. One of our little local ice cream shops used to do an orange ice cream - lovely. Any sort of coconut ice cream nowadays and those ones with the chocolate bar in the middle (mint especially) is a good shout as well - best of both worlds in one.

Oh yes I remember them fondly, they had to be frozen solid to be at their best and there was an art to devouring them too, first you had to cut the corner of them off and then suck away like a lunatic, then you had to cut the top of them off and slowly push them up sucking a bit slower to get the full and tasty best out of them, after about 5 or 6 minutes you had a gorgeously cold orange drink at the bottom of them to finish of with. These were superseded with the more accessible but equally delicious 'ice pops' I've been known to devour 12 ice pops in one sitting. On a slightly different but almost similar topic about three weeks ago I rediscovered Sugar Puffs, about 8.30 pm pour a heap of sugar puffs into a bowl and sprinkle a small amount of sugar on them, then pour almost freezing full fat milk onto them and add another small sprinkling of sugar on them and eat the mofo's, they are just bleeding bliss. Anyone who's a bit of a tubby git, give the small sprinkling of sugar a miss.
