Did I miss Timothy Dieng?

He must have come in under the radar.

Used to play with Didier Ndong who's signed for Sunderland. They had to be split up as the co-commentator on TV matches kept getting up to see who was at the door.

Can anyone clarify - what was the final score with Junior Hoilett? Is he still with us post-window, or did he formally leave the club?

More importantly, if we get to the play-offs, will Remy be available?

Bare bones.

Someone will be more ITK than me, but as I understand it his contract ran out as he would not agree to a new (reduced) deal, although JFH did want him to stay.

Number of PL clubs coming in for his services: 0.

I understand he was close but couldn't get it under the bar.

Villa spent £33m more than they sold
Derby £12m
Wolves £9m
Sheff Weds £8m
Brighton £4.4m

Those first four clubs, Villa especially, will be hoping they go up.

A few fees missing but I think we are a million + to the good in the end, which is unusual for us. If we had shifted Sandro we would have probably been a million and ten pounds up.

Never knowingly right.

First team on the list was Newcastle. Involved in 39 transfers if i managed to count them correctly. What a complete fcuking farce.

Yes it is a farce, but this is exactly what the combination of relegation from the Premier League and FFP in the Football League drives EVERY club to do. Even with Newcastle's crowds, their wage bill was probably extortionate (as opposed to the ridiculous it has now been 'reduced' to) and so they had to cut it, just like we tried to do at the start of last season.

Amazingly, somehow, loads of clubs thought that they had sellable assets that could do a job for them and now that they have the latest TV money, they threw it at Newcastle, who received it gratefully.

Basically, this means that they have met FFP this season and can even buy more in January without repercussions.

The top league is now fast becoming a closed shop and the disparity in money will mean that those coming down will have a significant advantage over the rest of the clubs (as we did when we came down, although nowhere near as significant). Prepare for much yo-yo - ing before the shutters come down on Premier League membership.

There will be one or two casualties along the way and I am hoping Palace are the first - their spending is fine for Palace as a Premier League Club, but the small club that is Palace in the Championship cannot support the wage structure they have introduced. The fall of 'established' clubs over the years will be even greater now if they get it wrong and an injury crisis / a series of 'wrong' signings will have catastrophic implications.

...and that is the world that we strive for?

Can we go out yet?
