Car advice (no QPR) 19:02 - Aug 27 with 782 views | Tonto | We are thinking about getting a new car. But the issue is with the old one. It was keyed a few years back, and also has a small dent on the same wing. Both cases are not huge, but visible. In terms of getting the best re-sale value, is it better to repair the damage myself, or just let it go and sell as seen? (in other words, would I get more than the cost of the repair back) For what its worth the car is a 10 year old mini cooper, so still has some value - around £2.5k according to Glass. Any advice appreciated... thanks in advance.

Get one of the mobile 'Dentmaster, or similar people to have a go at it as long as the area of damage is not too large they would probably make a reasonable job that would add value for reasonable cost. If you are doing a PX don't do anything any dealer has cheaper access to that kind of repair set-up and will just subtract the cost from what they offer for it. Your car is in demand so hold out for a good deal.
