Programmes free to a good home
at 16:35 26 Jan 2022

Couple of boxes of assorted programmes from the last 30/40 years mainly QPR official, a few KUTR's, a few aways and a few England programmes.

PM me to arrange collection form Pinner if interested.

I'm moving house and it's too heart breaking to cold heartedly throw out memories of so much disappointment and heartbreak (and the odd magnificent win that fed the addiction).

The Good Ship next to go...
at 12:23 5 Sep 2017

THE GOOD SHIP CLOSURE
Dear everyone, I am sorry to inform that The Good Ship will be pulling into dock for good on the 29th October. Our last comedy show will be Monday 23rd October and the last gig will be The Smyths on the 29th. (They did the first gig, it's fitting that they do the last.)
It's a long story but the short version is that the business is no longer viable since we had our hours cut at the end of 2016. We have a reasonably full programme between now and then so please do help us to go out with a bang starting with Geoff Norcott headling the comedy tonight.x

Football marketing ideas
at 13:34 22 Aug 2017

Just saw the polaroid specsavers ad come up and realised Chelsea are missing out a fortune not marketing their own sunglasses range...

"Glare free wherever you may be"

Maybe a diary (log, f'naar) of toilet activities

"Where were you when you were Sh!tting"

Or West Ham's version

"Chim chimeney chim chiney chim chim cheroo, I know where I was when I did a poo"

God I really can't be bothered to do any work today. Too excited about the big match, obviously.

How do fans have a stake in the club?
at 18:37 1 May 2017

Personally - and I have no doubt I am not alone - I never felt more involved with the club than in the days of bucket collections to help pay the wages. Everybody cared, everybody owned the club and everybody was desperate for the modest success of promotion to the championship. That's why it was our cave. Not because Olly said so or the marketing department told us it was in a season ticket renewal video.

If I had my time again (and with the benefit of 20-20 hindsight) I would not have let that opportunity pass by to help the club to be taken into supporters trust ownership.

There are many very clever businessmen and loyal supporters who didn't have the time to commit 15 years ago and who would make it work. I'm hoping they do a Caterham Cars on us and this comes to pass - or even better just hand over a clean balance sheet and we'll take it from here.

Imagine all the fans as part owners of the club. Some people say I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one.

Match Thread: Sheep v Cavemen
at 10:57 30 Mar 2017

The international break has taken enough out of our lives. Normal service has been resumed. COME ON U R's. We owe them for nicking at least a point off us in December.

Has Rowett been able to get them going and playing how he wants in 2 weeks? It's going to be a tight affair I reckon. 0-1, Washington scoring off Keogh's shin.

Macron

Anyone else a little bit jealous that France has managed to come up with a fresh, young, intelligent, personable centre presidential candidate? I don't think our system lends itself to getting rid of the waste of opposition benches that is the Labour Party quite as smoothly. On the other hand Blair was like that once until he realised he was a messenger from God and had a higher calling.

QPR Opinions
at 09:37 10 Mar 2017

Just received this...

"We've recently launched a new research panel, allowing you to have your say on a range of matters affecting the club.

This online community, known as ‘QPR Opinions’, offers you a range of prizes and cash payments as a reward for your contributions to the research initiative.

Simply by registering to the panel, you're automatically entered into the draw to win a visit to the QPR training ground, where you'll have the opportunity to meet the first team squad. Please register before 5pm on the 31st March to be eligible for this prize."

Obviously the fans forums aren't giving the right answer. Does anyone think football teams in the top 2 divisions are still "clubs" or can we all agree that we are mug punters in an entertainment business. Briatore being proved right is making me come over all Ted Hendrix like. Feck 'em.

Tennis. I can't be the only fan?

Brilliant. Kept his cool after getting the ball whacked at him by the 17 year old Canadian and as the eye was visibly closing and blackening calmly called the position "Game set and match to Great Britain".

I'd have been off that chair and stuck his racquet so far up his arse that he'd have a head shaped like Stewie from Family Guy.

SkyGo and Catch Up TV when abroad?

I know about FilmOn for normal TV but I just wondered if anyone had found a way to watch SkyGo and Catch Up TV in Spain now that they have rumbled Hola and most other common VPN's.

Brentford on Friday
at 15:35 24 Oct 2016

Okay JFH. You want us to make some noise? Friday's the chance for you to gee the team up to snap into every tackle, run until their lungs burst, fight for everything, no surrender, score more than one goal, maybe.

If you give us something to cheer we'll send you home with ringing eardrums.

(Assuming I'm not the only one starting my (hic) preparations at 4.00 on Friday.)

Scarier than Brexit
at 09:55 8 Jul 2016

This habit of the police in the US of shooting black people is out of control. I know if it was here I'd be on the streets protesting (and I'm not black).

The footage of the two guys that were shot by the police this week was just frightening. There seemed to be no threat in either case just nervous, racist, trigger happy cops.

Now we're going to see a long hot summer of backlash and race riots that could swing it for Trump to get elected.

I can envisage a set of circumstances that aren't that unlikely where we end up in with Trump and Corbyn as two of the main world leaders by Christmas.

Happy Friday one and all.

Moaninho...mixed feelings
at 11:01 16 Dec 2015

It's much funnier having him at the helm while they struggle but it will also be funny to see Chelsea having to pay out millions more compensation to him.

Maybe Abramovic will dig his heels in to avoid paying out millions, not bother giving him a players budget and Moany will destroy from within out of childish spite. Meanwhile the Chelsea fans will continue to sign his name

Warnock managing from the directors box
at 12:56 25 Oct 2015

The last 20 minutes yesterday I watched Warnock talking to the bloke next to him (couldn't see who it was as Warnock's nose blocked my view). Then Warnock's neighbour seemed to be on a walkie talkie to Paul Crichton, the goalkeeping coach.

Meanwhile CR was pointing and waving at nobody in particular. I got the impression the substitutions were nothing to do with CR and his position has been undermined to such a point that it is untenable.

I thought this board would've been full of it - I can't have been the only one seeing it,can I?

After upgrading I've noticed that the games are no good for nipping in and out of like the old freecell or minesweeper. This board is left as my only distraction.

How can I avoid being more productive? I know there are many experts on here.
