Came across this rant from a few years back
at 14:18 24 Apr 2014

Fck knows who wrote it but its genius:

I take more pleasure in seeing Chelsea lose than I do in seeing QPR
win at the moment.

I sat through so many matches when we were absolute dogs**t under the
likes of Ray Harford and with people like Paul Bruce, Matthew Brazier
and Mark Perry in the squad and I never felt like this.

The club isn't ours anymore but moreso than that - football is just
properly gash these days.

I mean really gash.

football generally.

I hate nearly everything about it these days....

I hate the Prem and the myth that it is exciting this year. Man City
breaking into the top four isn't exciting. They spent loads of
money. It's no more exciting that Nameless C*** getting to number 1 in
the charts after winning the X-Factor.

I hate the myth of Arsene's kids. Buying some French kid when he's
17,playing him in the League Cup and then selling him when he's 20
after about 3 appearances in the league is NOTHING SPECIAL.

I hate hearing about Liverpool/Man Utd's debt but nothing ever
happening about it. A club needs to go to the wall for the money
thing to change but it doesn't happen. Why the **** are Charlton,
Leeds and Southampton still in business?

I hate Frank Lampard's stupid f'ing face. I hate that Joe Cole's
tongue is never in his mouth, the downsy spacker. I hate John Terry
being England captain when he's CLEARLY AN OAF.

I hate the England team.

I hate young exciting wingers who have nothing but pace. Tony Scully
had nothing but pace.

I hate the FA Cup. There may be little shocks like last night but for
the most part you know who's going to win it. Unless a team throws
away all their financial security to win it a la Pompey.

I hate Harry f'ing Redknapp. And Jamie Redknapp. And Louise Redknapp.
And the Wii.

I hate James Nesbitt, Eammon Holmes and f***ing everyone.

I hate Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer.

I hate Garth Crooks.

I hate Garth Brooks for that matter.

I hate Sky Sports.

I hate that when a lower league player beats 10 players and chips the
keeper it doesn't matter but if Rooney scores from more than 20 yards
it's amazing.

I hate that everything football related has to have 'Club Foot'
playing behind it.

I hate that female sports journos are now mandatory.

I hate Mark Lawrensen for not coming out. 'I do like a big man at the
back'. I bet you do.

I hate any advert that portrays football to be about anything other
than pain and disappointment.

I hate any advert that mentions pies at football.

I hate Lee Hughes and the fact that he makes a living from the game.
I hate Marlon King and any team that signs him when he gets out. I
hate that it'll probably be us.

I hate Phil Brown.

I hate 'well the ball is a lot lighter now and will cause goalkeepers
real problems this summer' before EVERY F'ING TOURNAMENT.

I hate that Kieron Dyer earned more in the time I took to write this
post than I'll earn this month.

I hate Adrian Durham, Ian Wright and Alan Brazil.

I hate Gazza. Either die or shut up. Stop f'ing lingering.

I hate hearing about Hillsborough more than I hear about Heysel or
Bradford.

I hate that a comeback from 4-0 down at half time (TWICE) means
nothing because we aren't f'ing scouse.

I hate Leeds.

I hate Roy Keane.

I hate grown men wearing football shirts of their team whilst
shopping on a saturday when their team is playing at home.

I hate that I don't hate Roy Hodgson.

I hate Jermaine Beckford and any player who has neck tattoos.

I hate songs being inappropriately taken as club anthems and then
sungin a manly way. 'I'm forever blowing bubbles....'. Gaylords.

I hate Danny Dyer and anyone he's ever interviewed.

I hate the book 'Cass' by Cass Pennant. It is honestly the stupidest
thing I've ever read. Chapter 1: Millwall. 'Yeah we took 50 to
Millwall. They had 1000 in their mob but we ran 'em up and down the
street'. Chapter 2: Liverpool. 'Yeah we took 50 to Liverpool. They
had2000 in their mob but we ran 'em up and down the street'. Fk me...
Jade Goody's autobiography is probably better. Even her non-ghost
written one.

I hate that all good youngsters end their careers at Spurs before
they start.

IF...... Hughes goes to Stoke
at 12:45 24 May 2013

We as I understand DO NOT have to pay him off a big lump sum that his 3 yr contract entitled him to.

Similar to AVB and Chelsea, we have been paying him a salary since he got fired and if HE accepts a new job he is not entitle to the remaining contract amount.

Thats how I understand it anyway.

Great move from Tone & Beardy if that's the case.

Next season...
at 10:58 15 Apr 2013

I think we will have the basis of a decent squad.

Haryy will have from now and all summer to sort out who is "in it" and who's not.
Now Fernandes ha spoken to the players and is aware, there is no hiding place now behind their big wage.

Players to go:

Granero - Some La Liga team will take him, dont forget he WAS a SUCCESS there and played 24 games for Real last season.

Park - Will get a club abroad purely for his merchandise power

SWP - Ok he's pap, but I dont think he can be accused of not trying or being lazy like a lot of others. He'll actually do ok in the NPC i think

Cisse - Again - will get a club aborad as he is a goalscorer

Ferdinand - Difficult to offload with his wages but hoping some muggy clug will be hoodwinked like we were, or some greasy agent can get shot of him.

Barton - This is the real problem , no-one will touch this prat with a dirty great barge pole.
I think we're stuck with a winston Bogarde here, as he will sit there not play just to get his wage.

Cesar - I think he will go to Arsenal or stay in Lobdon.

Remy - Unfortunately we all know he will go but if we can sell at a profit or even get Townsend as part of the deal, then good business.

Adel - Will go abroad imo.

So as you can see, I think we will offload most of the deadwood but keep others who will benefit us.
If we get a full pre season and an inform Hoilett it will be like having a new player.

Would you pay current ST prices........
at 12:25 5 Apr 2013

If it meant a majority of the players were to stay ....

M'bia
Taarabt
Zamora
Johnson
Samba
Green
Hoilett

Obv Remy, cesar will leave anyway.

And we would have a real go and give our selves the very best chance of an immediate return to the Premiership?

Or would you rather all leave, we get rid of the likes of Park & Boswinga on Free's but ticket prices lowered and we were just a champiuonship side wit parachute money?

Personally im happy to pay the same, and keep the decent players for promotion. but thats just me, what about you?

Rivalries
at 17:31 30 Nov 2012

Just think back to some of our proper Rivals over the last few years.
Who was your favourtie?

I remember some proper good natured battles with Plymouth, esp when Olly joined them.

Bristol City was a little more intense but for a long time we were very similar in stature etc.

Obviously Cardiff has probably been the biggest hatred with promotion, Play off final etc.
And Palace we had a little thing going for a few years...

Seems much more real in the lower leagues, wouldnt want to go back but have some nice memories of those days...

I have a problem with our coaches?
at 11:41 15 Nov 2012

Not the ones to away games.

Why do we have 2 goal keepers as coaches?

Im sorry but a goalkeeper hasnt played outfield therefore will not have as much an idea as outfield players on how to coach and prepare etc.

How can a fat chelsea reserve goal keeper exepct to teach young athletic footballers' on formations, things that happen on the field of play, when all he did was sit on the bench for 10 years??

Southampton; The dilema
at 09:18 12 Nov 2012

Never have i once booed a player or ever wanted us to do anything other than win.

This Saturday will be the defining date in our clubs history.

I cant believe I am saying this but if it means us winning and Hughes staying on due to beating the worst side in the division at home, then Im actually hoping we draw.

If we win, we follow that up with Man United which is a loss not because its MUFC but because its an away game, so we will be on 7 points after 13 games, Derby had 6 points after 11 in their record breaking season.

I think for the good of the club and long term survival and growth, I would take a draw or even defeat to remove Hughes from the club, and get a manager in that can motivate these highly paid buffoons and intstil some defensive quality.

Not right i know, but I simply cannot see any other way with Hughes in charge.

Hi Sparky, here's a little bit of info for Saturday
at 09:53 5 Nov 2012

Though Im sure through your meticulous planning of each of our opponents , this is covered.

Stoke have these players called, Huth, Shawcross, Walters and Crouch.

Stoke continue to pump long and high ball after long and high ball into the oppostions 18 yard box.

We cannot defend a ball into the box (see WHU, Reading x2, Everton etc)
We can also not handle a target man roughing our week defence up (See Grant Holt, Kevin Nolan)

Hows about statring today, finding the biggest oaf in our personel at the club, going out on that training field and lumping 100 balls a hour up to him , have him being followed by Anton Ferdinand and Ryan Nelsen and challenging him.

Keep doing these 100 balls an hour till they understand how to defend a cross or high ball.

This may help with Saturday, because Stoke like this and must be rubbing their hands with glee looking at our defence.

Im sure you have already realised this though.

If we lose against Reading
at 09:46 30 Oct 2012

I think its accepted by most R's that Hughes must go.

For all those who think he should be given more time etc blah blah and those who wouldnt want Harry Redknapp, I ask this question:

Why wouldnt QPR on purely footballing reasons and management ability, NOT want Harry Redknapp?

He plays great football, moulds a winning team, is decent with transfers and was the best english manager last year..

Not a loaded question but I am yet to hear a good "footballing/management" reason as to why Redknapp would be a bad appointment.

Forget the brown paper bag stuff, & creaming transfers etc... That wont happen with the board we have.

Mick Mcarthy...............
at 09:30 22 Oct 2012

Speaking to a mate yesterday regarding Mick Mcarthy

Now dont worry, he is not lined up to be our next manager, but one game last season stands out for me.

Wolves at Home, relegation battle, Cisse sent off on around 30 mins if I remember.
What does Mcarthy do????

He brings on another forward in Kevin Doyle..

Up till then we had totally dominted the game 11 vs 11, soon as we went down to 10, Mcarthy realised our 2 banks of 4 had to be penetrated to change the game.
So by bringing on another forward, our 4 at the back became 5, midfield went to 3, which left O'Hara the space to dictate the game.

Now I know our subs were almost forced upon Hughes, a fact that seems to be lost on a lot of our expert fans...

Nelsen had travelled across the world and back to play and is 35, Traore we all knew would only do 70 mins which i would agree with Hughes, we need him for the future.

But the Final sub should have been a striker for Park.. Thus making Everton have to change from there comfortable double bank of 4 which were dealing with us.

Once you bring another attacker on, it will make them worry and lose their shape.

Yes we were suspectable on the counter but , we had to go for it, 60 mins vs 10 men, i really think we could have won if Cisse or Mackie had come on to partner Bobby.

Never understand why managers dont sieze the moment in games like this.

Do we reckon that Hughes Meticulous planning has included....
at 10:44 4 Oct 2012

The fact that Steve Clarke has noticed that Hughes hasnt noticed that playing a big black destroyer in the middle of the park will win them the game. Playing a big lump up top will completely bully our defence and cause issues?

Welcome, Lukaku, Mulumbo, Olson & The rest of the WBA giants.

PLease Hughes, if you do anything, start Hoilett & Adel, play to our strengths and go to win a bloody game away from home for once!!

The Hughes Theory - at Fulham
at 10:00 28 Sep 2012

Like many, I am not prepared to judge Hughes until well into the season, for 2 reasons;

1) It is shown in History that a "Hughes" team takes at least 10 games to get going.

2) It's simply far too early to start worrying

One thing that does get me thinking though, is his team selection and decision making sometimes.

For me, and the squad we have, it should be set for the 4-2-3-1 formation esp with our glut of decent midfielders, and to accomodate Adel, but for some reason this doesnt work, and we need 2 up top.

Hughes needs to find out his best formation and most effective way to play, and soon if we are to pick up points.

Another worrying quote I have heard from a couple of Fulham fans who go regularly is one of when Hughes was at Fulham, and having similar problems, it took Danny Murphy and a couple of senior player to go into his office and TELL him the way they felt comfortable playing and formation etc.

After that chat Fulham started to find a happy gorund and results improved with a top 10 finish... Maybe we are facing the same situation, I dont know... MAybe KONK can enlighten us to if this ever happened.

One thig for sure is that WHU is a very improtant game now, obviously not a "must win" but 3 points is important to raise moral and take us up the table.

Last chance for Ferdinand
at 09:17 25 Aug 2012

Who feels today game is a last chance for AF to stake a claim as no1 defender?

For me he's far to prone to mistakes and not commanding enough.
Norwich will struggle this year and no doubt the fat marshmallow will star up top for them and will bully Ferdinand if he doesn't buck his ideas up.

With Hughes looking to bring in 2 more CB's if I were Ferdinand I'd be worried.

Any boxing fans here?
at 21:26 13 Aug 2012

If so , there is a big boxing night at Wycombe Wanderers FC on Friday 24 August.

White collar boxing with 10 fights and yours truly as the main event.
Part of the money raised is going to Help for heroes, the rest pays for venue etc.

I will be fighting in my Rangers blue and white hooped shorts and probs wearing my shirt to the ring.

Should be a few R's there, I've asked a couple of rangers Legends to come down and hopefully they will, also, have a few soon to be big name pro boxers there.

Tickets are £20 and will be a great night, with a fully licences bar and food.

Let me know if interested.

Hope you don't mind me posting Clive but it is kinda rangers related :)

How do we all feel tonight?
at 17:57 28 Apr 2012

For the 1st time it all seems to have cleared a little. I really believe we need to win tomorrow at the scum, then win vs stoke.

Winning tomorrow would mentally demorolise both Bolton and Blackburn.

It's time the players stand up and be counted like Wigan have and get a result away from home.

On that note; Cisse owes us big time.

Just looked at my ticket in the upper tier and shuddered....
