The 21-year-old is out of contract at Tranmere this summer with sources in the North-West previously claiming that the Blues are close to signing the highly-rated left-back. The Baggies are said to have agreed personal terms with the Liverpool-born youngster, who was first mentioned in connection with Town in early May. Rovers are entitled to compensation for Cresswell because he is under 24 years of age and earlier in the week their manager Les Parry said his club had turned down an offer from a Championship club. According to this morning’s report, West Brom are yet to agree a deal with Tranmere and the matter could go to a tribunal.
