Alan Curtis says that there are keepers out there very interested in coming to Swansea

De Vries left Swansea City this week for Wolverhampton Wanderers leaving the Swans without a first choice goalkeeper currently with seven weeks until the new campaign starts.

But that does not worry Swans legend Curtis who told the Western Mail “There’s no doubt that Dorus played a huge part in our success since he came here

“He is a very good footballer and the way we play means he fitted into the system very well.

“Wolves have got themselves a fine keeper and it is a massive loss for us because he is a rare breed in today’s game.

“Will he fit in with the way Wolves play? Will he get in ahead of Wayne Hennessey?

“They are interesting questions, but we are just looking at what we do now.

“And what is clear is that there are keepers out there who will really fancy coming here and being a part of our squad.

“The club has made the right impressions on the field and people are talking about our style in a very positive fashion.

“With Dorus gone there is no doubt he leaves a massive opportunity for a keeper to come here and make a name.

“Having seen what Dorus achieved and the way he grew as a player, there will be a lot of other keepers who’ll feel they can make a similar impact.”
