De Canio Gets Vote of Confidence

Flavio Briatore has dismissed recent speculation that Luigi De Canio has failed to settle in London and could be replaced by Luca Vialli

 The news come after a Sunday tabloid paper reported that Gigi was on his way out of Loftus Road after failing to settle in London. As like the end of Gregory's reign, Gianluca Viall's name has been firmly in the frame, but Briatore insists that they are friends and that's all.

The some say 'dreaded' vote of confidence appeared on the Official QPR Website this afternoon and Briatore dismisses the claims by stating;

"It's not even an issue. Gigi has a contract with QPR and we intend to honour it - simple as that.

Gianluca is a friend of mine and he is welcome to come and watch matches whenever he wants, but Gigi is our Manager, end of story. We are happy with the job Gigi and his staff are doing and he is very much part of our project."

In other news, Dominic Shimmin could be on his way to Yeovil Town. The R's defender turned out for a Yeovil Reserves X1 yesterday in the 1-0 defeat at Weymouth.

The 20-year-old former Arsenal trainee, has failed to make an impact at Loftus Road and recently spent a loan spell at Yeovil's League One rivals Bournemouth as well as having a trial at Swindon Town.
