LFW looks ahead at another busy midweek programme in the Coca Cola Championship.

Hot on the heels of an eventful weekend, comes an almost full midweek programme of Championship fixtures. Yet again, supporters are being asked to take time off work/school/college etc etc and travel the length and breadth of the country to follow their football team - an issue that we have we have mentioned on more than one occassion and it won't be the last time. But this must be addressed next season, which should be easier seeing as we wont have to finish early for a major tournament.

Moving swiftly on and due to weekend results and a certain result yesterday, we have new leaders. Bristol City overtook Stoke at the top following their 2-1 home win over Hull and tomorrow, travel to The Valley for a tough looking game against Charlton.

Watford will be hoping the Robins slip up as they have a home tie against Norwich, who themselves will be looking to bounce back from their somewhat surprise home defeat to Blackpool on Saturday. The Tangerines have a good chance to stay firmly in the top half of the table with a home game against Barnsley, who will no doubt have one eye on the weekends FA Cup Quarter Final tie with Chelsea.

Fellow Quarter Finalists, Cardiff and West Brom have tough looking away games against Crystal Palace and Sheffield Wednesday respectively.

Down at the bottom and it gets no easier for Colchester who face a long midweek trip down to Plymouth, who will be looking to get back to winning ways after West Brom broke their 4 game winning streak at The Hawthorns on Saturday.

The only game on Wednesday comes from the Ricoh Arena as Coventry take on QPR - LFW's excellent preview of the game, along with referee news, will be online soon....
