Rangers Youngsters suffered their first defeat if the season, going down 2-0 away at Brentford on Saturday.

Rangers Youngsters were beaten for the first time this season at a very wet and windy Brentford training ground in Osterley. With the wind in their favour, the home side went in at the break just one goal to the good, scoring just before half time. Despite the wind being in their favour in the second half, Rangers were caught on the break and the Bees doubled their lead on 58 minutes.

R’s Youngsters Gaffer, Steve Brown told the Official QPR Website;

In the first half we didn't get the ball to the players who could do the damage on enough occasions.

When Christian, Antonio and Josh got it they caused problems, but we only had one worthwhile effort and that is not good enough.

The conditions should have been more in our favour in the second half, but we conceded a second and gave ourselves a mountain to climb to get back in it.

Rangers Youngsters are next in action in the Puma Youth Alliance Cup, away at Millwall on Saturday 13th September, kick off -TBA

All Rangers Youth Team home games are played at Imperial College Sports Ground, Sipson Lane, Harlington, Middlesex and Kick Off at 10.45am.
