QPR Reserves Edge a Thriller Tuesday, 9th Sep 2008 22:48 Italian striker, Samuel Di Carmine scored twice as a strong QPR Reserve side won 4-3 away at Millwall on Tuesday afternoon. Another strong QPR looking second string came back from two goals down to win 4-3 at the New Den - in a game that could have gone either way against a Millwall side that featured former R’s defender, Marcus Bignot. Akos Buzsaky continued his comeback from injury with a 70 minute run out and also, missing a second half penalty when the score was 3-2 in the R’s favour. Ryan Smith gave the home side the lead on 22 minutes. Millwall had further chances but the R’s finished the first half well with chances falling to Romone Rose and Akos Buzsaky. Forbes doubled Millwall’s lead just after the break and it kicked Rangers into life. Joe Ostler got the R’s back into the game, heading home Buzsaky’s corner, before Romone Rose brought the sides level soon after. Samuel Di Carmine gave Rangers the lead and was later brought down by Lions keeper, Edwards when one on one for a penalty. As mentioned, Buzsaky stepped up but saw his spot kick saved by a keeper that shouldn’t have even been on the field after the foul. The miss then seemed to be costly as with 15 minutes remaining, Bowes brought the Lions level from a long range effort. But the scoring hadn’t finished and Italian striker Di Carmine got the all important winner with just 2 minutes remaining.
