Manchester official Chris Kavanagh, in just his second season in the Football League, has QPR's trip to Middlesbrough on Friday.

So far this season, Chris Kavanagh’s second full campaign on the list, he has refereed 15 matches across the three Football League divisions and cups. He’s shown 49 yellows and no reds in those appointments — 3.26 yellows a game on average. Six yellows at Barnsley v Blackpool in League One is his biggest haul so far, and he booked three in Middlesbrough’s opening weekend draw at Preston.

Last season he showed 86 yellows and three reds in 29 appointments, of which eight were in the Championship — all in the second half of the season. He was in charge of Middlesbrough at Blackpool where two late goals won them the game 2-1.
