Tomassi Starts in Reserve Draw Monday, 15th Sep 2008 21:59 Damiano Tomassi made his first start in a QPR shirt as a strong second string drew 1-1 with Reading at Loftus Road this afternoon. Gareth Ainsworth’s QPR Reserves put out a strong line up against an equally strong Reading side. But although the R’s remain unbeaten, they were denied a win with a Royals equaliser in the final minute. As mentioned, Italian midfielder Damiano Tomassi impressed in his first start in a Rangers shirt, alongside fellow first team squad members Camp, Ainsworth, Bolder, Buzsaky, Alberti, Rose and Di Carmine. Reading had their fair share on display also with Leroy Lita, Graeme Murty, Brynjar Gunnarsson, Cisse and Sam Sodje in the Royals line up. After dominating the first half, the R’s took the lead early in the second – the impressive Alan Bolder ran 40-yards with the ball before putting Di Carmine through, who fired home coolly past the Reading keeper, Anderson. Just as the R’s looked like they would hold on for a deserved victory, Cisse headed home unchallenged in the final seconds of the game.
