Following the midweek action, LFW looks ahead to this weekends action in the Coca Cola Championship.

Saturday’s games come hot on the heels of a busy midweek programme, in which the Championship found out that Wolves are indeed, human after all. In the game of the night on Tuesday, the in form Reading, inflicted a 3-0 home defeat on the League Leaders. They now face a tough looking trip to Wales to take on Swansea, who gained an impressive 2-0 win at high flying Preston midweek.

There are two Sky games this week, with Birmingham v QPR being the lunchtime viewing – LFW preview will be online soon. The evening game could be seen as a strange choice to some, but Coventry v Southampton looks like it has the makings of a decent game. Coventry were perhaps a tad unfortunate to come away fro Cardiff with nothing on Tuesday, where as Southampton notched their second win in as many games with a 2-0 home win over Norwich.

There is a cracking little game in prospect at Home Park as Plymouth take on Sheffield Wednesday. Once at the foot of the table, Plymouth have been on a great run and are unbeaten in the last five games, three of those being wins. It was very nearly four as the Pilgrims were pegged back by a late Noble goal away at Bristol City midweek. Sheff Weds have almost sneaked into the top six unnoticed. The Owls were beaten 6-0 away at Reading not so long ago, but are unbeaten in their last three games since. Consistent home form seems to be the key for Brain Laws men this season.

Elsewhere and bottom club Nottingham Forest, welcome Crystal Palace to the City Ground. Palace currently sit in 20th place, just 4 points ahead of Forest, but will go into the game full of confidence following their 1-0 home win over neighbours Charlton on Tuesday night. There is also a second Yorkshire Derby in as many games for Doncaster as they visit Barnsley which even at this stage of the season, is a real six pointer for both sides as the two make up the bottom three.
