LFW brings you up to date with news of the QPR Reserves and Youth Team over the past week.

Rangers Youngsters started their league campaign with a 3-1 win over Wycombe at Harlington last Saturday. Elliot Cox was the star of the show, scoring once and assisting the other two for Sutherland and Bewick. Young R's boss, Steve Gallen told the Official QPR Website;

'Maybe 3-1 flattered us a bit, but we were by far the better side and it's great to get the first game of the campaign out the way with a victory. I thought he (Elliot Cox) was excellent, as he was throughout the entire pre-season campaign too. He's playing with great confidence. Everything we create is going through him at the moment and long may that continue.'

Rangers Youngsters are next in action, away at Luton this Saturday 29th September

All home fixtures are played at Imperial College Sports Ground, Sipson Lane, Harlington, Middlesex - Kick-off 10.45am

QPR Reserves were in action also midweek, but went down 3-0 in a friendly away at Watford. The game saw Angelo Balanta  return to action from injury.

QPR XI: Putnins, Harriman (Sutherland, 55), Brown, Oastler, Harris, Parmentor, Cox, Alberti (Bewick, 60), German, Balanta (Malloy, 60), Parker. Subs not used: Ehmer, Weeney, Bailey.

The Reserve league starts next week with a home game against Aldershot on Weds 2nd September, ironically, at Aldershot's Recreation Ground where the R's second string will play their home games this season.
