QPR Youth Team Update Tuesday, 15th Sep 2009 08:40 Rangers Youngsters ran out 5-2 winners over Aldershot in the Youth Alliance Cup last Saturday. Following defeat last week at the hands of Millwall, the Young R’s got their Youth Alliance Cup back on track with a 5-2 win away at Aldershot last Saturday. Despite the scoreline, the R’s didn’t have it all their own wayas Aldershot came back from two goals down, cancelling out goals from German and Bewick midway through the second half.
But after holding back the onslaught, the Young R’s rallied and regained the lead through Ehmer, then Bewick got his second of the game with a fine individual effort. Cox completed the scoring with a powerful header late on.
After the game, boss, Steve Gallen gave special mention to Under 18 debutant, Bruno Andrade;
‘He’s been doing well for the Under 16’s and fully deserved his chance. He played well for us out there and can be happy with his performance.’
It is Youth Alliance Cup action again this coming weekend for the Young R's, with a home game against Wycombe this Saturday, 19th September. Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
