Couldnt get to Blackburn game but I notice in the Rochdale online match report it say in the team line up that Edwards P played, is this the Edwards we had on loan last season? and is he on trial to prove himself or whatanyone know

He played alongside Ryan Edwards and both played well. They could be our potential first choice pairing? As far as his contract I am not sure. It was mentioned that he was going to sign, but I do not remember anything official.

Byrne and Bennett also had decent games. We look fairly well stocked in that area.

Thats a massive call at this stage but Byrne appears to have come on leaps and bounds not only in his footballing prowess but also in his stature. He looks like a big imposing centre half who can also play out from the back. Having said all that, i am judging my opinion on one game (Blackburn).

I actually went to Radcliffe (and regretted it !) , but the two I was impressed with were Byrne and Bennett , not just for their defensive performance against a very ordinary opposition , but by the way each organised the trialists on display , both vocally and by example , as well as performing confidently and coolly .
