See the torch at Spotland

The club have called for as many Dale fans to come down to the ground on Saturday afternoon to watch the Olympic Torch Relay as it passes Spotland.

As part of the journey taking the torch on its relay towards the Olympic Stadium, part of the plan has it to pass six different Lancastrian football grounds in one day.

Our particular leg will commence on the corner of Edenfield Road / Elmsfield Avenue at 1:51pm on Saturday afternoon, and will continue down Edenfield Road before turning right down Sandy Lane. After passing the club, it will turn left at the Cemetery Hotel, making its way towards the Town Hall.

All routes are expected to be busy, but it is hoped that Dale fans can ensure that the area around the football club is exceptionally busy with as many Dale fans as possible wearing club colours.
