Winger Obadeyi was brought to Spotland just before the end of the transfer window in January 2010 on a loan deal until the end of the season. He came in from Bolton Wanderers where he was highly thought of, having developed from a trainee at the Reebok Stadium, and having enjoyed a very positive loan spell at League One side Swindon Town. Indeed, he'd been a regular in the England U-20 side.
