Sort of see your point, but we're back to overuse of black when it should always be the secondary colour. Never been a fan of reading "home kit: black & blue stripes" that sometimes pops up. It's blue & black. Having such a mass of black on the shirt in a predominant place would detract from that colour scheme.
But it works well for Dundee UNITED because of the glaring nature of their own predominant colour - you ain't detracting from tangerine on a shirt, only adding to it (see the Ipswich away shirt). 8/10.

Crystal Palace go back to stripes, nice kit. The away kit is a bit of a non event, and irritating in that it includes sky blue shorts as an alternative to the royal blue home version. Not enought thought gone into that choice. Could have had red and the blue/red/yellow theme running through both kits making them interchangeable.
Home 8/10, away 5/10.
