Tight Wad Dunphy and the board 16:17 - Jul 22 with 6409 viewskoober74

Can anybody tell me when Rochdale actually signed a big name? someone who got the fans excited and has a good footballing background?

No i am struggling as well...................Everybody is getting jolly over the Hogan transfer Fee and how much we got off the back off Lambert's transfer and the possibility of £500,000 off Craig Dawsons. How much has the Club received over the years for Said players? Millions.

Looking at the ground, the pitch come December and the depth of the squad nothing has been spent to propell the club forward and sustain a season in League 1.

It's hard to get behind the team when A) Best players get sold and the money doesn't get recycled into replacements B) The clubs a dump from the outside C) Last promotion was followed by a humiliating relegation.

Same thing happened when Rochdale got promoted last time and exact same is happening now. Trialists, Freebies, Youth Team and Zero spends.

Nice one Dunphy, give yourself and your Directors a pat on the back.

I personally feel uneasy when the biggest transfer news for Rochdale AFC is a player leaving.

It is always going to be the case for over 90% of the clubs in this country.

So only 10% are buying players?

Where is the transfer revenue coming from?
The only difference between Rochdale AFC and the other clubs in Lge 1 is ambition.

I feel uneasy about all the money being spent at Bury it'll be a real shame to see Bury outside of the football league in 5 years time. But at least Dales future is now secure for the foreseeable future.

Not many clubs are 'buying players' and you said biggest transfer stories. Selling a player like Hogan is always going to be bigger news than signing Stephen Dawson on a year's contract for example.

I would say an average attendance of nearly 10,000 more than us separates us from the likes of Sheffield United. It is not about ambition, it is about living within your means.

It is a wind-up isn't it? Fair play to the chap for sticking with it. He's not done the angling emoji yet, so we should expect more hilarity to come.

I cant believe Dunphy has had the Hogan money for 24hrs and not spent it all yet - no ambition! And bloody James Rodriguez was available!

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

Flounders was bought after we sold Keith Welch to Bristol City for 200k. Sutton also spent money on Whitehall and Bowden that season.

Gary Dicker... last season.

The fact that our entire squad out-performed him proves the laughability of the OP.

Hogan, Lambert and Dawson all bought for peanuts and sold for a healthy profit. If you want name signings I suggest you go support our Bury friends (obsessed) down the road, that of course is presuming you don't already.

Why is everyone falling over themselves to justify how the club is being run?

I'm sure Mr Dunphy will take great pleasure in reading the OP.

Surely the correct response would be a very long yawn.
