When Lancashire returns they could both find themselves out of the starting 11. We have conceded in all 6 games so far so something needed to be done - we arent going to win many games this season if we have to score 2 and 3 goals. O'Connell is class and for all Tanser's obvious potential he is still learning - the corner he gave away for Bradfords 2nd on saturday could have been put out for a throw with a bit more composure. O'Connell is a very welcome addition. |  |

We need someone dominant in the air. As good as Tanser is, centre back isn't his natural position and we concede too many goals from set pieces so for me, Eastham and O'Connell until Lancashire is fit and then he'll have to work to dislodge one of them. |  |

I have been pleasantly surprised by Eastham, he seems to be much more comfortable with the ball at his feet than 12 months ago and his decision making has improved too. He seemed a bit of a liability last season- much better so far this. Maybe a run of games and extra responsibility has been good for him. |  | | |

Yep. Rest Tanser, he's playing really well so a perfect time to give him a rest. He won't have expected to have featured as much as he has and it's been a great learning experience. Definitely a good option off the bench too, he'd be effective replacing Kennedy late in games because of his natural ability to carry the ball forward. |  |

I'd agree with this. I think Tanser has been our best defender so far. He is the only un-droppable defender at the moment for me. If we need more height in the middle, I'd pick him over TK at LB every time. Aside from his obvious defensive ability, Tanser's distribution and willingness to bring the ball out of the defence is brilliant to see. But that's not me saying TK has done anything wrong either. | |

Tanser has indeed been excellent, but TK's obvious experience has been vital in that area since he's come in, and the few errors Tanser has made, could be put down to lack of experience. [Post edited 1 Sep 2014 20:36]
