Apart from a few blizzards first thing, it hasn't been frosty here all day.
If anything, there have been quite a few prolonged spells of sunshine and certainly no need for the covers, especially as said sunshine will help the grass grow! [Post edited 2 Mar 2015 22:41]

Indeed. And as the link below explains, about 40% of the pitch can be covered in a relatively short amount of time. No need for them to go on until this evening which, as earlier posts indicate, is what has happened.

Its not been that cold , maybe -1 this morn and a bit of sleety snow , certainly not the prolonged freezing temps that led upto the Orient postponement. |  |
