It's annoying when clubs do such kits and only follow the original kit part of the way. The shirt is fine but the shorts & socks should be navy (and the shirt plain white, the pinstripes turned up a year after, but we'll not be too picky) And if not, why not at least have the shorts black so it follows United's traditional colours?
Think they've worn red shorts once in their entire history ten years ago. It looked rubbish then too. | |

It's a pretty inspired idea, but for the fact that yet again City are choosing to have an away kit in blue. Maybe they'll have a third strip that actually offers an alternative this time.
The amount of times City have worn their home shirts this season has to be some sort of record. Having a navy away and purple third versions has meant they've turned out in sky blue at places like Chelsea, Everton and Leicester. There shouldn't ever be a reason to see blue v blue matches, but City's insistence in having two other kits that actually clash more v royal blue than their home shirt has meant they've gone for the lesser of two evils. But it's an evil nonetheless. | |

It was done by committee...
Vincent Kompany began the meeting by pointing out that having to lead out Belgium in a standard Adidas template which used white instead of yellow & black alongside red was beginning to affect his form. When Paul Lake stepped in and blamed City's shift to white shorts and navy socks at home for his injury issues, it was clear that various factors would have to be taken into account. Something that Mike Summerbee reinforced as he kept mumbling about having maroon turnovers on the socks.
When all was said and done, Gael Clichy and Wilfried Bony got together with some really good felt-tips and came up with something everybody liked. | |

Superb Shrewsbury Errea kits. The subtle, yet effective use of a third colour in the home shirt is good. With the same template, swapping the amber for blue and the blue for black would result in a potentially great Dale shirt for the future.
I'll try and ignore both kits containing different shades of blue and the issues they'll have at Wigan and Colchester as well. | |
