It always use to be the last or next to the last away game of the season. Always a great weekend as they use to play in a Friday night as I think the market was on the car park on a Saturday. We found a great hotel. We always filled a mini bus and then went into London to watch a first div game on Saturday. Remember seeing Liverpool when their last title beating Chelsea. King Kenny

Something to do with the football gods I think - pay back for one of our two wins in the whole of the 1973-74 season being at Southend. How humiliating was that for them. | | | |
