Yes, irresponsible, but I repeat (do I have to do so ad nauseam?) that it's nothing to do with your point about having to be aggressive. I explained why earlier.

I wouldn't be confident of us scoring more than 100, the way we often bat, so yes we need to get them out cheaply again.

3rd Test Match on 17:26 - Jul 30 with 1695 views | flyerdale | Good to see so many Dale supporters at the Lancashire game at Blackpool yesterday. A grand day out with a nail biting finish with decent weather. Must admit I liked the set up at Blackpool Cricket Club even if the bars were running dry by dinnertime. Good performance by England here very enjoyable watching the convicts collapse.

If Mark Wood's fit again, he should be the direct replacement although a different type of paceman. If he'd been fit he'd have played at Edgbaston, but having Finn back to somewhere near his best is also a huge bonus. Switching Bell to no.3 with Root at 4 also paid off.

Good performance by England but the Aussies will be up for the next one. No matter what happens we have a team that on their day have plenty of quality, they deserve all the plaudits. We aren't the best in the world but I think we have a team to be proud of, on their day we can beat anybody. They bring a lot more joy to the country than the Football team have ever done.
3rd Test Match on 21:27 - Jul 31 with 1208 views | Brierls | A fantastic performance from England. We batted well, with a welcome return to form for Bell, but it was the bowlers that won us this test match. Another sub-par performance from the Aussies. They're not as good as everybody thinks they are, but they do have character, and they will bounce back. Losing Jimmy is a huge blow. I expect Wood to come back in, with Woakes called up as backup. Every one of the bowlers will have to step up to fill the void left by Jimmy. [Post edited 31 Jul 2015 21:28]

Man for man the Aussies are better than us, they are under performing at present but that's also down to our performance. Scoring 121 to win today could have been tricky but we batted well, Bell and Root need a pat on the back for that. Even now i feel our chances of winning back the Ashes are no more than 50/ 50. In fact I would say the Aussies could still be slight favourites, Andersons injury is massive. It's turning into another epic Ashes serious though and most people had written our chances off at the start.

Before this series I thought like you. But, the Aussies have proved themselves to be no more than better than average. As Geoffrey says, cricket is mostly played in the mind, and at this moment England's mindset is far better than the Aussies. Whoever England choose to replace Jimmy (my choice is Plunkett) then they MUST Come in with the 'positive attitude' that now pervades the England set up. It's ours to loose
3rd Test Match on 00:14 - Aug 1 with 1091 views | Dale92 | I would say we have a better team then Australia look at the one to 11 on both teams I wouldn't pick many of them, most of them are over the hill, voges, clarke, rodgers, watson and even Johnson is getting on now. England have entered the mindset of the great cricket sides of yesteryear. Englands middle order is the best its been for years, all we need is a decent spinner to appear and there seems to be a nice little queue appearing to have a chance and we will conquer the world in most formats. Their seems to be a huge amount of talent coming through. Regarding Andersom's replacement I would like to Footitt given a go, his left arm would give us some nice variation , I'm expecting to Stokes get some wickets as well. Stand Up if You're 2-1 up
