What exactly happened? From where I was sat, I just saw the wall, then Henderson appeared to drop to the floor. Had he been punched or something? Did anyone here what the player that got sent off said to Keith Hill on his way past?

I'm led to believe Hendo gave him a little nudge and Dickinson shoved him. As for clash with hill I don't know.

Hendo and their player were niggling each other. Dunno who started it - I suspect Hendo.

He seemed to give Dickinson an elbow in the ribs, followed by Dickinson giving Hendo a full-blooded thwack across his legs from behind... just as the ref looked at what was going on. As stated in another thread, if the ref had looked a split second earlier Hendo would've walked too. With a limp.

Don't think there was any kind of 'clash' with KH, I think he was genuinely enquiring as to what had happened. He was as mystified as others were.

Just a query I had. Would the sending off and their foul/sending off not overrule ours? As in, they were waiting to take a free kick, their player fouls one of ours and gets sent off. Why then wasn't the free kick transferred to us?

The Sending Off on 20:07 - Nov 28 with 4936 viewsBigKindo

Because the ball 'was out of play' awaiting the free kick.

Where?

I was at the game today and the ref produced a straight red card, not a yellow card then red.

So did Sky but it was a straight Red and no argument as he walked off straight away without the usual 5 Vale players surrounding the referee. Hilly did have a word in his shell like as he went up the tunnel.

In the match stats.

" 90+ 5,39...............Second yellow for Carl Dickinson for a bad foul"

He was given a yellow after 39 mins for the pen, but when he was sent off the referee didn't bother with a second yellow and just gave him a straight red.

Thanks everyone. Yes the Beeb said yellow, then yellow, but I never trust them to always get it right. So it was a straight red.

Blimey, If you believe anything you read on the BBC you probably believe you will live long enough to see the end of the DFS sale!

I expect that Port Vale will appeal it anyway if it was just a bit of pushing and shoving.

So in the last week I have missed a goal and a red card. Do any supporters ever enter the Stadium after kick off and miss a early goal/ sending off? It's starting to feel like a conspiracy this.

It happens, missed 2nd goal against Preston because Grandson decided he couldn't wait until half time for a pie!!
Probably one that still sticks in my mind, missing Trevor Brooking's headed goal in Cup Final against Arsenal as I had gone out to Ice cream van to get 3 daughters an ice cream to keep them happy whilst Dad watched the match.
