Never been a big fan until recently when I have actually thought he has contributed well to games. Maybe he has been playing for a contract and Hilly has seen through it. If his form last few months had been constant the last couple of seasons maybe he would've got another year. No great loss IMO. |  |

Never been Rose biggest fan since Hilly started shifting him around from his LB berth.
Think he's definitely bucked up these past few months but I have a feeling that's just comparatively as opposed to him actually playing all that well. Even when he's been our stand out performer (which he has on more than one occasion), it's more due to the abject performances of the others on the pitch as opposed to him excelling in whatever role Hilly decided to pick out of the hat that day for him. Think he's been let go because of his age and nothing else though so definitely the right decision for me. Been a fantastic servant though and he won't struggle to find a club IMO.
Wish him all the best (even if he has seriously injured a few of our fans with his miscued crossfield pings). |  | | |

Why was i gutted? He was a good league two full back and him being in the team of the year was a superb achievement. For whatever reason, hill and him decided between them he was a centre midfielder and thats where the problems came. If he realised his limitations and stopped trying to play 40 yard diags across the pitch (which actually went 65 yard into the directors area 90% of the time) he could do a job covering midfield when short, however a full time midfielder he is not, has neither the legs or the vision to play there. Would imagine he's one of the higher paid players and I think there will be better value for money around elsewhere.. | |
