Yep.........dump the refugees in Camerooooon's Oxford Constituency...they have had none yet!

Double Prizes today : Exit win and that Leftie Luvvie Cameron is GONE!

Oh and Trump is in town.......Make him Prime Minister! Job done

I think one of Cameron's biggest gaffes was to keep going on about how we're not a nation of quitters. "Brits don't quit".

Then as soon as he got the result he didn't want he quit.

well i for one believe bananas, australian wine etc have never been cheaper, that is the market operating. As for funds for the future, if we hadnt given away our oil and gas, utilities, rail, post office etc, the profits for these could already be driving investment, instead they were sold cheap, to keep the bankers, tories etc happy. The rich have never been richer, the tragedy for people who have voted out because they felt traditional party politics has bypassed them, is that the same right wingers and banks will still be in charge, and there will be no money for services etc, as that buffoon Farage has already said this morning. The back to the 70's racism this campaign has unleashed, will be hard to deal with now. More division to come

I agree. The people voting out were voting out for a multitude of reasons, some had valid grievances, some were barking at the moon. This can only lead to further swings to the right. I'm not saying for one minute that Johnson, Gove, and the rest of the out gang are fascists because they aren't but I can see how Hitler came to power in pre war Germany now.

Desperate people with little or no faith in the established parties being convinced that scapegoating foreigners is the answer. Weak opposition parties, that's all it needs.

You seem to have lost sight of the fact that in 1976, after a majority vote of 2 to 1 to remain, the electorate was told that it was a vote to remain in a common trading group. At that time there was no mention of an on-going master plan, based on introducing a discredited redundant Napoleonic federal system , by diluting the value of the electorates votes and imposing law formulated by unelected Commissioners, who cannot be removed. And what of that trading area today? The second slowest growing trading bloc only bettering Antartica.. Within the now discredited EU there is no need or place for opposition parties.

Yes I know about article 50. I also know that like the referendum itself, the move towards article 50 and the UK beginning moving towards so called independence , is going to have to play second fiddle to the Tories infighting.

Instead of getting on with the job, and making plans to carry out the wishes of the British public, Cameron is failing in his duty as Prime Minister by abdicating from his job, and insisting that they have a leadership election. This despite him saying he would carry on as PM whatever the result, and being given the thumbs up to carry on by the leaders of Brexit-Bojo, Gove and Stuart. So basically, there is going to be more un necessary waiting to get on with the job of planning to leave, which could well lead to more problems in the markets, which of course might lead to ordinary people losing money or even their jobs.

Cameron has had six years of negotiating with the EU ministers, leaders etc, so he is in the know how to deal with them, and should have been part of the negotiations, for at least the first couple or so years, until his previously planned exit of being leader in 2019. By the way I am not saying he has been successful in his previous negotiations with these people, but neither has any of the potential other leaders of the Tories. Obviously, it will be Civil Servants that carry out most of the negotiations, but they need political leadership.

D.alien thinks he is the only person who knows what's going on, I voted in but, now we're out lets get to it , rather than wait for the Tories to apply the sticking plasters. I haven't watched that, however there were many "lefties "who were on the side of a Lexit. This included up to a quarter of Greens, many LP members, many independent socialists, fair number from the left of the Libs, even SNP. The Morning Star was for Lexit, so no doubt many of the CP were for it. However their reasons may well have been different from , the likes of the Leave EU, official group. Of course many of the followers of the late Tony Benn, may well have been for Lexit, but we will never know if Tony would have changed his mind, in support of his friend Jeremy Corbyn. Personally I think the Lexiters were wrong, but I respect their position .

If it hadn't been for Lexit support, there would have been no Brexit, but in some ways it gives me heart.

Yes that will be his legacy, as well as doubling the UK national debt, while at the same time forcing down wages for the majority of working class, while boosting the incomes of the rich, and austerity, leading to public services being damaged/starved of funds, especially in high immigration areas like Rochdale that have not received the financial help to provide more housing, health, education services etc, while having to deal with extra levels of poverty.

Just listened to it. Some of the points made are fair points. I don't subscribe to this, all Brexit supporters are Nazi, or racist, just as all of us remainders were commies, or refugee huggers.
As for as a second referendum, it should have been said originally that a threshold was required, to move the goal posts now would be wrong. As far as I know, none of the official remain groups or political parties have called for it, indeed if it was attempted in the Greens it would be resisted.

Let's not for get that many right wingers voted for remain, too. About 42 percent of Tories voted remain according to the very left wing Lord Ashcrofts poll.

I admit left wing, and moderates were more like to vote remain. I will also say the far right did support Brexit, but so did elements of the Trotsky left, for different reasons. My reasons for staying were different than Cameron's. Most Rochdalian people are not racist, right wing people, however, they believed that we would be better off out, only time MAY tell.

No, you're thick because you posted that England would have automatically demanded an early secession with Scotland if the Scottish referendum had voted in favour of Leave.

That's what I meant in my other post by "blind assumptions getting what they deserve"

The fact is, you've absolutely no idea what England's reaction would've been, but in challenging your point, and suggesting it was made as a result of your own small-minded attitudes, you've taken offence.
