Hartlepool are likely to struggle next season, but in Alessandra they have someone with a touch of class who can score goals if they have the players to provide the chances
Good luck to him, but it's obvious there's something missing that prevents him fulfilling his potential
Absolutely bizzarre the situation with LA.......we preach about how players are given a chance and more at San Spotty but this seems like the one that got away?
Good Luck.........perhaps all will be revealed in the wash?

There was a rumour that he refused to play in a "Bounce" game and things went downhill rapidly from then on. Moral: don't get on the wrong side of KH, he is lord and master of all he surveys!

was going to use "From Monkey Town to Monkey Hanger" as the headline but someone would have been unnecessarily offended.
Yes, there's already enough football-related offensiveness in the Paul Gascoigne case ...
As for LA, wasn't he on a 2-year contract? If so, I assume Dale have given him a few grand to go.
It's a pity signing him didn't come off. Almost every transfer involves a risk, and he essentially had only one season in which he scored a few goals (11 in 44 league appearances) - probably due in part to playing alongside Reuben Reid.

I wouldn't be so sure Hartlepool will necessarily struggle; signing Padraig Amond from Grimsby was a pretty impressive (if a bit bizarre) signing.

Its not very often Hill gets a player wrong on release. Maybe he will buck the trend but I'm struggling to name one player that on being released by Hill has gone on to better things, even after initially dropping a level.

Yes
One could argue, though, that Wiseman was only released first time round because there was already another player (Ramsden) ahead of him, rather than because of other reasons, as seems to be the case with Alessandra.
Wiseman still went on to really establish himself in league football with us in the promotion season.

Scott Hogan (original release from the youth team).. Lucas Akins (on trial summer 2010, not taken on, doing well at Burton). Jack Redshaw Andrew Tutte (done pretty well for the Buckets)
However the first three weren't ready for first team football at the time, dropped to non league, worked hard and earned their second chances. Tutte was/is a decent player, who never quite fitted in here under Hill.
Not many, although Rhys Bennett may well be another if he keeps fit and cements a place at a Mansfield side who I fancy to do well next season.
